Popular FridayIts been quite a while since i feel 'booked up' on a weekday...lol
Booking no. 1) Dinner with Steven and whoever he's gathering...its been a while since i last saw my ex-cell leader. Always rem him fondly as the BFG....and he was the one who believed in me and let me lead the cell in the past. *Gasp* LOL.
Booking no. 2) Okie...dis sounds kinda pathetic. Supose to attend dis seminar talk by Ps Benny Ho abt *Hic* Conflict management blah blah...i didnt even catch the title. Well, kinda roped in coz elison wans us to be there. *shrug* oh well den.
Thursday now and i stil haven decided which to go for.
Mebe i shldnt turn up for any and go home, be a social recluse and catch up w some sleep. Sounds tempting alreadi!
Realise my workload dis holiday weekend is truly amazing.
To do List:
1. Set P5EM3 CA1 paper...apparently due next week which i didnt know till 2 days ago?!
2. Do up powerpoint slides for Total Defence Day also by next week. Need to do lotsa scanning..sigh.
3. Marking..watever dats undone...been piling..collecting dust...rotting...tink u get the pic.
4. Watch my Sex & the City Disc 2. Quite a cute show but didnt find it dat deserving of such rave reviews. Also realised
that some breasts can be seen. Whoo...now i gotta lug dat heavy DVD player into my room in case my family thinks i m
watchig porno.
Hmm.....on second thoughts, dis sounds....errr...
5. GEt past the Black Gates before my bro comes back on saturday!!!Haven been touching the game at all.
6. Sleep. Something i can always do with more.

On the school front, everyone's been coming up to me to complain abt the 5 boys. Duh! i m not even their form teacher!
They always start with asking u so how r the boys..den proceed to tell u their encounter w them....mainly bad ones of coz.
I tot they were okie..juz need reminders to be serious. Still need to work on a lot of areas....they i mean. JJ can't even read simple words....estimated reading level @ P2. Add tons of broken english and inability to express themselves in English.
HArd to admit but i kinda like them....they r actualli quite sweet boys. Ok..sweet ain't the word. What the heck?
Lovelife still zilch. LOL. The Big Guy better work fast if nt i prob end up as one of those hormanally imbalnced spinsters teachers who wreck horrors on others!

SO glad the dinner thing w the cell and guests is over. SO many changes had been made since we last arranged 2 to 3 weeks ago. ANd i realised how much i missed out fr juz being sick dat fateful sat....STeamboat was cancelled coz cant cook in the function room...changed to potluck instead. SUch vital info was only revealed to me yez nite after service. Initially there was dis "WTF?" thing on my mind....guess later i juz accepted it, msg my springfield darlings abt the changes. Realli gl;ad they still came coz haven seen them in a while..and i sincerely hope they enjoyed themselves...all 7 of them.
NOw lying in my room w the laptop before me....i can feel the intense fatigue enveloping me. Guess last nite outing was a bad idea which catalyses the flu i had dis morn till now and resulted in my rather sedated woozy feeling @ the dinner, both pre and post-dnr. Was felling entirely enthusiastic abt it and guess i had my share of fun too - it did take a lot outta me to tok to ppl and lead the icebreaker in my ditzy state of mind.
FOr a moment i was actualli giving instructions in Mandarin..den well i couldnt keep up..lol...soon i was badly tongue-tied and on the brink of stuttering and repeating myself.
Anyway, mistaken for a malay gal again. Was kinda wondering y dis malay gal stretched out her hand to me while i grabbed hers and gave her a handshake. Oh well. Wat followed was even more embarrassing - her bf (i suppose) did the same. Hmm...natural gift to promote racial harmony yeah?
Aint dat bothered but juz tot it cool my face is the 'battle' between the two races. Irony of it all i belong to the shanghainese dialect whom the gals werew famed for their fairness.
GonnA sleep well,cover up well and pray dat my flu dies tonite. If not, the grouchy ol' me will be facing the unfortunate classes...

From being miffed, now i m pissed. But since the sermon juiz now was on James 3 taming our tongues, i decided to hold my tongue and eat nissin tom yum cup noodles to calm myself down.
Still feeling nauseous after the Horrible cab ride fr hell (and dat in itself is a understatement). Mebbe its dis weakness i m feeling dat caused my fingers to accidentally select the whole text dat i hav typed on dis blog on the touchpad and deleted everything. Guess my complaints r meant not to be heard or read.
URGHHHH...*grunt*
Anyway, juz saw The Last Samurai. Not exactly on my to-watch list but blame it on peer pressure.
Emerged out of the theatre feeling its actualli not bad. The sucky old me teared at certain parts.

CNY UpdatesRealised a sad but true fact abt CNY...dat there is no escape fr the ching ching songs..no matter where u go.
Was forced to sing in sch when they called for all the chers to go up front and lead the kids. Well, lets juz say dat without hanyu pinyin, its a toughie!
As much as i could, i tried to mouth the words. And i tot i spied the P's eyes on me...sigh.
So my loudest contribution to the singalong session?
A rousing "Hey" to a song i hav never heard b4! Call dat improvisation if u must.
Anyway, latest achievements on LOTR: finally battled thru valley of the dead to the king of the dead. Tried my hands using Gandalf in Minas Tirith top wall battle...sadly overrun by disgusting orcs after hacking thru many of them.
The greatest satisfaction didnt come fr my play of the game...its when my bro's hitting the Crack of Doom. LOL...i managed to last longer @ the fight w Gollum.WHOO!!
And i "discovered" the way to flip him over the edge...fast den fierce attack den killing move.
If only i had a lil more patience and perservering spirit at playing something over and over again, i'm sure i'll hav killed him. It takes 4 freaking times for him to die!gosh!
Doesnt matter anyway...my bro's unlocked all the characters now. Quite cool!:)
Not too bad at the combos either...orc hewer my fav!LOL!
Been invited to several get-togethers and home visits but aint dat keen. Think i m juz too lazy and got bitten by the mich stay@hm bug...

Revisiting LOTR:ROTKDeeky estimated its been one month since the first LOTR:ROTK viewing so i guess its time to refresh the last of the trilogy.
Strangely, dis second viewing was much better den the first....didnt feel the 3hrs cept for the endless shifting and fidgeting in the seat, backache and leg cramps.
Quite glad i went again =).
Many good things happen on dis fortunate day too. HAd free high-tea @ Marriott w piper...coz she's a sun-riser (premium M1 caller all thanks to kiat in aus). Tink i'm gonna lay off oysters for a while. Was never a fan but tink i overdid it dis time. Esp the 2 extra-thick ones dat i ate. Recalling it makes me nauseous...still havent managed to burp since juz now. *hic*

Barely a few days in camp and he's sounding like a typical NS guy...sprouting jargons (vulgar and non alike) in dat sing-song voice.

LOTR:ROTK Updateok..so wat if i m not EXACTLY a true-blue gamer?
Been having a tought time fighting the spirits of the old soldiers...keep dying towards the end coz cant find the silly potions i left along the way..URGHHH!
Remembering words of my bro:"Parry!Keep parrying!" My finger on the Q button is almost cramped from punching it so ferociously....
Actuali, its not dat bad. I onli tried it twice...coz i like to take breaks b4 i get back on the game...very awed w the cinematic way the game rolls out...wooooooo
so its LOTR den few minutes of Gunbound. All within one day.
Rather tied down by work work work...beginning to realise the significance of being a non-form teacher. Wat u get (freer time) gets to be ploughed back when u do unit worksheets, with every wksheet resembling a full-length PSLE paper!?
Sigh..its squeezing my brains dry!
Mebbe dat y i m sick *hic again*...i knoe...(hearing mich dissing in the bkgrd:"take those vit pills!")....
Its the flu bug...highly suspecting its a consipracy to get me to rest @ home.
Why? Look @ the evidence, 1st may (seating strategically next to me in office) was having flu....den was out last sat on mc...2nd conspirator piper was sick too...i went out w her the whole day on sunday....3rd my other fren-colleague saadah's been having it..and i hav been mtg her to go sch and back..
Anyway its kinda a blessing in disguise...supposed to have a mad schedule:

11-1pm Staff mtg
2-5om Induction course @ Guide House
After 5pm Make my way down for half-service and cell dinner and stuff
12-6am (onli realised dis yez) Movie marathon..tics blessed by andrew

8.30-9.30am @ teh docs
9.30-10.00am Munched on hotdog bread and swallowed the pills
10-1pm Wozzy nap...den Mum woke me up for lunch

8-9.30pm Dinner...pills...tv...now blogging

NS CountdownApparently, the most talked abt topic in my home at the moment is my bro's maiden voyage to the island of Tekong, where he will spend the next few gruelling months washing his own uniform (undies as well) w the pay-as-u-use washing machine, together w his numerically-challenged amt of hair length. Sounds like fun..hiak!
Truth is, his room aint gonna stink no more, coz he aint gonna be ard much. Still haven installed nor played my LOTR: ROTK...sigh...work's been piling....procrastination aint working anymore.
My fate has been revealed..the next 5 unit worksheets for my EM3 boys are destined to lay in my hands, not to mention the CA SA papers too.
Juz by doing the template todae got me so brain-dead. Guess i;m gonna be having the time of my life!
Meanwhile, splurged money on my mum today and it felt gd. =) We went to the boutique, threw some clothes on her.....if it fits, we took it. And i didnt even glance @ the price tag. All in all, she can hav smthing decent to wear on first and second days of CNY. =)
Not to forget the two lil' dodos. Managed to get bro a white shirt and my sis 2 tops. It was mostly look, see, visualise, grab, pay and go. Excellent strategy to get things for ppl without thinking too much.
Thank God they didnt blast any CNY songs. This will hav greatly reduced my efficiency @ shopping.
My eyes been prety dry and painful dis days...sigh...tink problem's coming back again. Even w specs, my eyes r still hurting and feeling sore. Shld hav known better den to overuse my killler laser eyes @ the kiddos. It must hav been the one period dat i used today to barrage them abt their lousy work.
If onli i can wear shades to class, not onli will i look cool, i tink i can recharge some of my laser power. Hail the new Cyclopess!

F**ked UpIts been a while since i hav used dis word, normalli reserved for times when i m realli angry and DO NOT care wat ppl tink abt me or who r ard me. Sigh...sensing dis is gonna be a real angry blog...so be forewarned!
Never believed i wld do smthing so dumb...and cowardish - went down to the prc thing juz now but barely 5 mins in the presence of the pompous crowd, i planned an escape route via the toilet. Hence i was outta there in no time.
i juz cldnt fit in...and realli feel i stood out like a sore thumb - not physically of coz...juz very lost i dun knoe anyone and i m definitely not keen to knoe anyone at all. I dunno if dis is a sign of aging, a development of an attitude problem that is fast arresting me.
I feel so confused and shitty. I kept thinking...will the elise of the past even do such a thing liddat? I believed from wat i can rem abt her...when she chooses to, she can get into a crowd effortlessly. Now, she juz seems a pathetic loser who's inept at making new frens.
Well, let's put it dis way...she doesnt even feel the need to get new frens. To the extent that i feel she's being so cold, distant and unfrenly. Things always change for the better? It doesnt sound like it here.
Anyway, thus ends my story of my sad day. Next time dun ever promise someone to go for something dat u knoe wil be uncomfortable, esp not on ur bday. Coz it will leave u with no one to hang out w shld u skip the scheduled programme.

Feel sad too dat mich is going thru her 'trials'....was reading her blog and her anguish was practically bursting out from the screen.
All is not lost - was on the phone w sleepydog..darling called from down under...how sweet! and siaocharbo sharing the same bday as me actualli rang me up. Tho haven been mtg her at all, tink our connectivity is always there....i almost cried on the bus.

HAil 2004!Must hav been a bad omen dat i m sick on the fourth day of the new yr. Down w the runnys again...so had to miss the English corner thing elison asked me to go.
Wanted to change this template for the new year..but i guess work has caught up w me again. Forgot how lesson planning can be so tedious...while trying to stuff tissue into my nose to stop the leak, i had to sit in front of the laptop (okie..its more of lying down den sitting) and crack my brains, while flipping at the text and SOWs...
It was a long day....tink its gonna be a long year!
Met some of my kids on first day of sch...my classes were alright. mebbe its coz school hasnt sunk into their brains yet - they were realli subdued. Gonna mt my EM3 kiddos tom..hope and pray it will be good. There's onli gonna be 5 of them and i hav to set papers and ws for them...God u better make them cute!
Age is catching up w me again...unlike others, i dun hav the priviledge to wait out a couple of months after the new year to announce the addition of 1 yearr into my lifespan. So hence, i countdown 4 more days to the time i reach my quarter life crisis. 25 - a number which usually dun mean anything has come to mean a LOT to me.
Pondering: if my bio-clock starts ticking, it will mean i shall hav to start a family lastest @ 28 which also implies dat i hav to get married @27 (at least) which translates to the fact dat i shld get hooked w some guy soon...hmmm....
Bad scenario planning....if dis goes on..i shall hav to do SWOTs....strategy planning...vision setting.....
