Teacher's Day entryTime of the year to feel the immense sense of nobility being a teacher. YUp, the usual. Table littered with pretty packages and cutesy cards. =)
However it didnt really feel like 'our' day cos it was combined w mufti day, theme being retro. Anyway, i put on my most psychedelic top and bell pants, complete w a scarf ard my head...woo hoo retro A-Go-Go babe... and won one of the best dressed teachers. Tot that was cool.
Cant realli focus on writing this now as a particular person's songs r playing on the player now.
Lotsa thoughts...perhaps that's wat brought me back to this blog. Let's see where shall we start...
Office relations getting a bit trickier as i balance w a pal who happens to be on the 'bad' side of the others and the surrounding bad karma coming fr neighbouring cubicles. Dun realli care cos i tink some ppl r behaving in a plain silly manner so i openly 'announce' our friendship by appearing w her often. To others i'd say...go eat ur socks or something.
Had a torturous teacher's day dinner coz needed to be mc for the lucky draw. Thank God i managed to get away w smiling and holding the silly lucky draw container in the shape of a huge wine glass. Let the Mc role go to may...coz i dun like to do it and i tink she does. Even simple stuff like seating arrangements can get screwed up. Everyone sorta expected me to sit w them, my p5 and p4 pals...and we cant all squeeze into one. Den had to go in may;s car coz needed to be there early to prepare and ended up seating w her and gang. And supposed to 'book' seats for my poor outcast fren who happens to be a vegetarian and was sadly relegated to the Vegans table. And missed an sms fr another fren who had to be stuck w her chinese teacher gang which i tink she dun realli wan. All a big mess...plus i didnt eat much. =P Peeved!
*Afterthoughts: juz sit where u wan and some ppl shld juz keep their mouths shut abt others. Cant stand how ppl can openly 'joke' when we all knoe it's bordering on an insult/sarcasm.
Stupidly went to throw away the winners in the first few rounds den discovered the silly SMC wanted another draw for 3 top prizes for everyone last minute. =P Totally peeved man! First time digging in the bin (toilet bin mind u) for the pink strips of paper...cept for may who dug w me...den managed to choke up the toilet bowl coz we dumped too much paper all at once. Cant help sniggering when the SMC head went to pick the winners from among the tainted strips...lol...
Thankfully the nite was saved by a nice nite-out w some new ppl and some close ones @ New Asia Bar. Chill out is nice...everyone said we shld do it more often. Had a bit too much to drink plas empty stomach so kinda started to see pixels of black and white momentarily during the nite. Quite cute to see shue's expression when i told her to hold me coz i can see her face in pixels. =)
Back to mufti day. Did/taught an A-Go-Go dance routine on stage w 3 other colleagues impromptu after a 15-min rehearsal. As i was telling ai lei...this had hugely depleted the gdwill we share...purely did it for her sake actualli. she looks a bit off...dunno y i m worried abt her but yeah...will try to encourage her more.
Oh yeah...i hav my mum to blame for this.
Happened to channel surf one day and chanced upon a korean drama Stairway to Heaven. Not realli my cup of tea but as i watched, i cant help but get sucked into the pathetic melodramatic storyline. Major sobfest. Mum was hooked...BOUGHT the vcd set and there goes my entire social life this week- in front of the google box changing vcds after vcds.
Reached ep 12 but cant tahan so skipped to last ep. Anyone who's thinking of watching this show think twice. SAD ending. I m terribly pissed.
The only thing that kept me going was this droolsome Kwon Sang Woo who makes the shirt and biz suit the most desirable fashion item any guy shld get. DrOOL!Dimples, 6 pecs, lena and muscular, charismatic...
Need i say more?Sigh...all my chances of finding romance is dashed and i m doomed for eternity!
