So glad we managed to tie down the details for the china trip...at least the lesson looks fleshier or shall i say meatier. No joke we finished @1130 @ jeremy's hse and had to give the you tiao dou hua a miss...=(Anyway, back to the topic on J's concert. Was reading up some forum post abt the concert and was trying to relive the moments...sigh..serious post-concert blues.
I was realli impressed by a few stuff during the show:
1) His voice sounded way better than before. Better mic and sound system? He could realli hit all the high notes and voice was fuller & stronger.
2) He can shake his bootie. Tot he was a dance idiot..so i guess credit goes to him when he cld move to the music. He even did this hand on the floor stunt and kinda bounced off the floor 3 times. So much for flexibility!
3) MAn can he play the piano! Looked as though he was possessed by some musically-inclined spirit...watch those fingers move and down tinkering the ivories..sigh, wish those slender fingers can run through my body!lol
4) As if that's not enough, he went ahead and banged on the drums and played some chinese flute...*melting... melted*
Initially, mich was the enthusiastic one...trying to scream and all but i emerged the winner in the screaming department. Think her left ear mite be slightly deaf by now..hee...*oops* Well,i m eternally grateful dat she went to enquire abt the lightstick fr a fan and helped me got one for 1.40..she's a darl!
I amzed myself when i found that i could sing along to almost all his songs hanyu pinyin by hanyu pinyin...Gosh am i gd or wat?! Who says i cant speak chinese?I can even sing them now!!
It was realli no-holds-barred when the concert gained momentum. Urs truly went euphoric towards the end...secretly wished that i had gone all out and bought the 148 tics...lol..even at the expense of gg alone...
Wats worse is actualli contemplating for a while abt gg for the KL concert on jan 29..mentally playing around with the idea of leaving on fri nite...
Yeah..i can read that thought in ur mind rite now as u r reading dis...but i dun care!!Cos as mich puts it...thou shalt not be a closet fan anymore!!!=)
And u r rite...the entire jay playlist is still playing on my winamp this very moment...

Came back fr retreat @ copthorne orchid. DIdnt manage to sleep well...partly due to certain peculiar noises in the night w ppl beside me and of coz the euphoria of JAY's concert!CAnt realli blog rite now as i m severely deprieved of sleep but will report on it hopefulli tonite after the mission mtg. Meanwhile m gonna sleep while playing J's playlist on the com...=)
*Croak* Thoart is sore...wonder if it was due to the screaming last nite.

It's nearly 3am now and i m still waiting for my hair to dry slightly b4 hitting the sack. Been a long but fun day, after sitting thru 6 hrs of presentation and den rushing off to set my hair w wendy & becky and finally off to dinner.Didnt realise the 'hosting' of the lucky draw meant being the mc for the nite. Cant say i took to it like fish to water but at least i didnt drown. MAde a few bloopers but hey i still survived. TOt mr lam's games were hilarious..never know no. 2 cld 'groove' so well!
Had a minor seating problem but was kinda solved after a while. Thankfulli there's no guilt trip this time - i mean i was busy setting up the prizes so when i came back to the table, i was shocked to realise new addition to the grp.
Think the highlight of the night wld be the pool session w g, chesty, uncle f, jo, bay. Gosh i suck at the game now!*Horrors of horrors*
Supper @ bak chor mee bedok and had a great time chatting, laughing, toking nonsense. Of cos, there was the 'complains' but guess everyone was there to listen and share abt some unhappiness, so it wasnt that bad.
Won $20 bucks Tangs voucher. Not too bad...though i wld love..in fact i need, a hifi set. Hitting sch tom again...complusory report writing and refinement. Sigh...
Oh and tom's linda's wedding dinner plus cell retreat.
Think i'm gonna crash...wonder if i can last thru till sun.

So inspired and ABBA-ed, that i bought the cd. =P
Now, the song 'Take a Chance on Me' will never sound the same again!
And it was w great company too =)...who only made me miss abby more!
Was rummaging thru the wardrobe for decent clothes to wear to the sch dinner tom nite. Black or white...hmm...shall have to recycle some clothes.
Hopefulli can do up my hair tom so that it'll seem i have put in 'effort' for the dinner.
Still have to go up stage to conduct the lucky draw...sigh...tot i can eat in peace.
NM..shall keep my fingers and toes crossed for the first prize...a hi-fi set!! That's wat i need!

Thus all is revealed...I will be teaching p5F ems (if that's wat my eyes were rite) and p6em3 eng. There's juz dis afinity b/w me and em3. Maybe its written in my face, i realli dunno.
Plucking up my courage, i decided to ask the No. 1 y i didnt get a form class and y i was in em3, juz to satisy my curiosity. Gonna be an exciting year...wat w majority of the em3 class being boys...notorious ones at that!
Nothing exciting or major revelation. Her diplomatic answer: a resource allocation thing...and not enuff upper pri tcrs to teach eng.
That's it. The answers to questions i have been wondering abt all yr.
Anyway, i told her in my silly tone dat i TRUST her....as she was mentioning she mite wanna take away my math. Plus i gave my best shot by reparting that i m GOOD in math!
Most imptly, I M A FORM TCR AGAIN!!Whoo! Yes, many think that i m nuts to declare this but no one understds the agony of not having one. Trust me...i will go thru any admin s**t to own a class. And i groused abt this to No. 1, whom appeared amused and bewildered at the same time.
Had a good chat w shu'e after the committee mtg. SHared w her some stuff that happened along the way. I m glad she's gonna shift next to me soon...provided my neighbour is confirmed on leaving. =)
Oh and major revelation: my sup (let's call her R) was sharing some personal thoughts after the mtg and mentioned abt how she cld be quite blatant and direct at times and wans us to know watever it was, she had our best interests at heart. Kinda a strange 'confession'. She was mentioning that we all hav our strengths and weaknesses...so she went on to mention each of us. Mine reads: Elise, u r very IT-savvy and has a lot of gd ideas. You r an intelligent girl.
Hmm..trying not to delve too much into the comment, positive or negatively skewed. No one has ever called me intelligent...hmmm..
AS for this yr's sch team awards, welfare lost by 2 votes to PD. Quite sad as it's 2000 bucks per grp...sobsob.
Quite excited abt the next few mths and the year ahead...positive vibes!

COUNT DOWN: 11 DaysFeel so accomplished today cos i've done some stuff which has been on my list..finalli.
1) Cut my toe nails
2) Remove the polish dat was there eons ago (watever's that's left)
3) Painted a transparent thingy on..so now they r shiny!
4) Replied email to button & gang
Erm...yah. That's about it for now. Having big plans for the hols. Want to do sporty stuff, hopefulli w some khakis to go along. Quite pleased when i went for a beginner's blading lesson in sch, despite the fact i had to learn w the kids. Thank goodness i didnt fall. Now i can brake!SOrt of...well at least i can extend my right leg out.
Actualli caught a chinese concert on TV jus now...juz to catch a glimpse of J. Well, i had to wait all the way sitting thru some weird acts singing songs i dunno nor understd from 11.30 till 12.50! My perserverance paid off w 2 songs...badly sung and slightly off-key, but nonetheless exhilarating!=)He came on with this creaming lil' girl who did a rap...cute but screaming.
K i admit..like wat i did to mich, that i m an official sucker. For him i mean, and sly. Actualli spent a buck voting twice for sly last thurs. How can u not when he's singing J's song? SO the kind-hearted urs truly decided i shall vote once for sly, once for J. Neat huh?
Lest i should sound any more bimbotic, shall say something intelligent here to save myself : "With great power comes great responsibility."
Anyway, was very blessed when i attended the 1728 mtg w Ps Khong. It was realli gd to hear him share abt wats been gg on. Kinda missed the times i jused to have cell leader's mtg. Managed to ask sf abt her ministry w the kids. Been a mind-opener. Bottomline, be bold, courageous yet wise.

Seeing how old my god-daughter is (on this timeline tingy) reminds me time flies. Better cuddle her soon b4 she grows up.
Work can realli get to u. Realised i can get depressed under the on-slaught of stuff to do and quite emotional-irrational in my thoughts. V thankful to Him who has blessed me w my two gal buds who r always there. =)
Last nite's sermon was thought-provoking & life changing. Double-mindedness abt Him. Perhaps the humanitarian trip is an adventure He's leading me to test HIm and draw closer. Reminded me of the prayer a ps jeff made for me when he spoke abt not leading a double life but one that belongs to the Lord. At that time i didnt realli know what he meant but now there's some inkling. Though i didnt went forward for ministry, heart juz felt at ease & still.
In the ups and downs, He never fails to remind me 'to be still and know that He is God'. This time, it was no exception. When i heard the word again, it juz resonates in my heart that yeah...how true and how come i always have to be reminded abt it.
Still trying to get sponsors...planning to be thick-skin and get the hunks & babes@pcs to 'donate'. Thank God my aunt gave 200 bucks so that totals to 230 in all for now. 420 more to go in 3 weeks! Been busy sat nites after service mtg up tp firm up plans for the trip. Activities, lesson plans, logistics etc...
Realise must 'teach' in Chinese somehow..so have to start sprouting more of my mother tongue. Duo shuo hua yu!Wo ke yi de!
Very blessed as offers of 'donations' of jackets & pullovers kept coming. For someone who cant realli tahan aircon,10 degrees is sure gonna freeze my butt so gotta keep warm. My wardrobe aint any help...was thinking - layer tube on tube?tube on spag?LOL
Hol plans: besides trip to Jingzhou in Dec, am tinking of starting driving lessons, trying wakeboarding which is smthing i always wanna take up since nus, blading as in proper no-walking-but-glide style, exercise my butt and tummy off, read loads to replenish the whole yr's lack of intellectual intake.
First few activties read: COSTLY. Well, at least tomr i m paying 14bucks to take blading lessons..w the kids.
Can forsee a gd week ahead: Mon - marking day, Thurs - Public Hol. *beaming*
Meanwhile, a heavy rehearsal of jay's songs the plan for this lazy sunday.

Sudden inspiration to change the blog look. Perhaps like me i need a 'make-over', a total overhaul of sorts.
