A Secondary School Girl

Someone thinks i sound like a secondary school girl in this blog.
I must say i m a lil disappointed. You mean i don't look any younger physically?
Now it's a mental thing as well? This is depressing...

Life's so full of tragedies. Even a maid can get chopped up, a state gets flooded, terrorist threats abound...research even shows that too much sleep leads to depression! The end of the world is nigh!
Everyone needs a lil nonsense and cheer. =)

This naggy headache juz refuses to go away...
Seems my body's refusal to do work and set the el paper. I have been staring at the screen for hours but not producing anything. This is frustrating!

Pictures below r for anyone who can empathise with ppl being forced to wear ugly T-shirts.

Style no. 1 ~ Suitable for maid-wannabes

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Non-sweat absorbent white Polo T with bright green collar and clan association logo on side pocket. Size S.
Price: $0
Being seen in this top: Priceless.

Style no.2 ~ Suitable for all things cheena & the like

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Bright red round-neck T with wordings in front. Names of gateway cities.
Great for auspicious occasions.

The best is yet to come...at the back.

Colourful bubbles with Chinese characters below.

If you happen to see any wearing these tops, do view them with a sympathetic eye rather than condemn them of having bad fashion sense.
Unless of course they wore it willingly. That is a mystery i have yet to unravel.

Need to lie down ...i dun wanna go sch tomorrow.
Finally finished Jewel in the Palace. Thank God it is a good ending.
Feeling a sense of loss now.

Musings on a Lazy Sunday...

Has a song ever gripped you such that you just wanna play it over and over again.
One such song is James Blunt's You're Beautiful.
This one should grip you too. Maybe it's because i caught the drama and it has that extra special meaning.
Of course it helps that the male lead is the swoonsome Kwon Sung Woo. Totally droolsone! You are warned though that the drama has a silly ending - i felt totally cheated when i finished it.
So my mum sold the set. Not a bad entreprenuer i must say..think we only paid a few bucks to watch the entire crap. Good crap mind you, coz of the Kwon guy.

What has brought this revival? Kinda watching the drama again *hic* on tv and needed to get the song. Click on it. I m 100% u will melt.
So i m currently the proud owner of 5 Korean songs from the serial - all in gibberish language which i don't understand.

Strange what extreme boredom and procrastination can do to one person.
Trust me..i sifted thru websites b4 i honed in onto this. Even i myself m proud of my persevering attitude and sheer determination.

Boh goh ship dah (Missing You) ~ Theme from Stairway to Heaven

Ah moo lee gee dah lyuh doh nan moht gah

jook eul mahn keum boh goh ship dah

jook eul mahn keum eet goh ship dah

*Sob sniff* See, didn't i warn you of the potent nature of this song?

Now for a little of the real world. It is extremely shocking and shameful that the self-proclaimed Super power on the West failed to deliver what they always seek to do - intervene and try to solve 'problems'. Maybe they only excel when looking at other people's problems instead of their own.

It takes one day to gather troops and advance them into the Gulf area and yet it's been days since New Orleans even seen troops dropping aid on the state. How ironic!Notice the similarity between the Sept 11 attacks and this Katrina onslaught: Bush on holiday.
Why do you want a president that is constantly on holidays when you need him?
This is an obvious case of irresponsibility and stupidity to the max. Politically correct, he is an epitome of the intellectually challenged. Nincompoop. Idiot with a capital I.
Ok, to be fair, he wasn't technically on holidays at the time of the bombing. He was reading a story to some pre-schoolers. Apparently he stayed and continued reading after he heard the news. I m impressed at his dedication and love.

As it should be obvious by now, i m on Michael Moore's side. Call me moorie's gal anytime.
Surely it doesnt take a dot-sized nation to loan them chinooks to drop off food supplies and ferry people out from the hot zone.
Praying that He has mercy on the people who r trying to survive while their President rearranges his schedule, cancelling his spa appointment and get his butt to the scene.

Char Siew Bao fans?

I was never a fan of bao. Actualli I m not even a bao fan - rather I just love the skin! Gimme plain ones any time. Or times when i eat those purple baos just for fun. Colour therapy.

Anyway, I was converted when my mum bought these miniature baos for a freaky price of $0.50 per bao from tanjong rhu. Or is it tanjong pagar? Or tiong bahru?
Anyway, it's some place that starts with a T.

It's really really yummy! Usually, i will (out of desperate hunger) gleefully remove any filling and enjoy the skin in all its glory. This time, i ate up all the reddish stuff inside.

Try them. Just have to go figure out which T they r from.

Waiting for the gang to finish their rehearsal so i can go for dinner.
Bao-munching...

Thanks for all the concern and sympathy abt my first driving test. It is sweet to know that empathy is all around u. I feel so loved. And it is amazing how many "Happy Teachers Day" sms greetings i received yez. It is shocking to know so many who know i m in the moulding industry. This is scary.

The Mother of Success is Failure?

As much as it is expected, somehow it is indeed hard to swallow.
It has been sooo long since i ever took a test. Never knew i could be sooo nervous.
HEart palpitations, excess perspiration...gosh!
Even my hair clip fell out twice during the test, which by the second time i gave up clipping my hair back!

Previous Track Records:
No. of times car kissed the kerb = 1
No. of times car failed to get thru S-course = 0
No. of time car failed to get into vertical parking space = 0
No. of times car stalled = countless!
No. of times car successfully entering parallel parking = 1 (without external help)

Test Results:
No. of times car kissed the kerb in S-course = 2
No. of times car kissed the kerb during vertical parking = 1
No. of times car stalled = 0
No. of times car entered parallel parking = 1 (unaided ie. forgetting what jonah has taught and did everything by instinct)

ARRGGHHHHHHH! K..now that it is more than 12 hrs later, i tink i have pretty much calmer and not that upset abt my own stupidity.
Don't know whether to laugh or to cry...hahaha. Sigh.
Strangely felt more relaxed and peaceful after i realised that i ain't gonna make it. THe drive outside was a breeze.

So here's to all who have failed...

There is no such thing as failure, only results, with some more successful than others
--Jeff Keller Attitude is Everything, Inc.

Forget past mistakes. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you going to do now and do it.
--William Durant founder of General Motors

The difference between failure and success is doing a thing nearly right and doing a thing exactly right.
--Edward Simmons

Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.
--Truman Capote (1924-1984)

Disappointment often focuses on the failure of our own agenda rather than on God's long-term purposes for us, which may use stress and struggle as tools for strengthening our spiritual muscles.
--Luci Shaw

There is no failure except in no longer trying.
--Elbert Hubbard Writer and craft colonist

Failure seldom stops you. What stops you is the fear of failure.
--Jack Lemmon

Failure? I never encountered it. All I ever met were temporary setbacks.
--Dottie Walters

Don't think of it as failure. Think of it as time-released success.
--Robert Orben

Failure is an attitude, not an outcome.
--Harvey Mackay

You always pass failure on the way to success.
--Mickey Rooney

One slip does not make a person forever a failure, any more than one good turn makes a person forever a saint.
--Unknown

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find a joy in overcoming obstacles.
--Helen Keller

There u have it! Enough of making excuses!
We must possess the chang jin spirit and never give up!
(Who says that watching korean dramas is a waste of time? Values abound!)
Thou shall try again in nov! =)
