Saturday, November 26, 2005 Yes...it is done!I am now a certified road hogger. All I need now is a car. Sigh... Lots of things have happened and I am really relieved that finally it's all over. Started the week (supposed to holidays..how ironic) with boring useless meetings for 3 days, then year-end dinner on thur. Really glad others liked the awards I did. Quite proud of them actually and couldn't bear to give them away. Shall post up the pictures once I get my hands on them. Dinner went on well, sans a few glitches here and there but otherwise, I guess it was a relatively okay dinner with funny moments. Can always count on Mr L to add humour to everything. Ended the nite at Bar None...for several minutes before the noise got to me and stomach rumbling. Retreated w just and jo for ba chor mee...that was the highlight! Can't believe I couldn't eat decently for the dinner which I paid 50 bucks for. Just mighty glad no big screw-ups..heavy-duty as it was kinda my 'pet-project'. And the morning after great awakening at 730am for warm-up to driving test. Lunchie w gill and lb den collapsed on bed for few hours b4 remembering dinner w cyn and gang. Glad too that these buzzing activities took my mind off my grandma. Her tumour's growing again and though doc suggests surgery, I thought it was unwise at her age. Legs are getting weak at times and its really painful to hear her talk abt her death and stuff when I sat down w her. As you age, perhaps the way you handle your emotions will get better, but somehow the impact left on you still remains the same. You feel hurt and unable to imagine what's going to happen. At least I m glad now that should she need to go for check-ups, I can give my aunt a break by driving them down. That was one of the reasons I took up driving and sadly, it may just prove to be useful now.
Wednesday, November 09, 2005 A Bug's LifeI have a face that says 'Bug me'. Pardon the pun. In a short span of 4 days, i've been attacked by 3 different types of bugs. Talk about having a variety. First pest is this unknown cricket-grasshoppy-like creature which aimed for my neckand refused to budge when i was innocently removing my guitar from the taxi's boot. Love bite @ first sight. I was horrified. Thank God for my ultra-quick reflexes and i managed to flick that darn thing away. Heard it slam real hard on the interior of the boot. I hope it dies from a severe brain concussion. Went back to scrub that particular spot several times plus sterilisation. Second episode is the tried and tested attack at the void deck by a cockroach. It aimed for my feet as usual, scurrying it's irritating best to make contact with my bare skin. Thankfully, the agile elise escaped once again, unharmed this time, as she dodges and squeezed her lithe body between the lift doors as they threatened to close in on her. Last but not least, a black beetle just flew in a few moments ago and landed on my thumb as i m surfing. This inspired me to blog this entry. With usual calm and grace, i reached out for a tissue and scooped up the docile insect with skill before dropping it into the abyss of darkness. There u have it. Elise's escapades and encounters of the third kind.
Sunday, November 06, 2005 Reading audz's blog and stumbled upon this, so thought i give it a try to test my hypothesis abt my 'real' gender. Thus it is confirmed...How true? U decide.
And as i read on...realise i have done it again..forgetting birth dates of my loved ones. A big apology here to Ben and audz...even though u tried to make me rem byhaving dates so close to each other (kinda similar to placing a bigger order for ba chor mee at a busy stall so that they will rem ur order), well, i still forgot. :P
Thursday, November 03, 2005 November's ChopinBig guy always know how to chin up my rotten days. He is such a cute guy and uses His own unique ways to remind u that He's always there whenever we need Him. Thinking abt the last 2 weeks b4 the hols. Seems all too long. Plenty of important dates are floating around in my mind...church wedding, dinners, masters orientation & registration, driving test. Gonna be surrounded by a new batch of preggies again. This is truly getting a bit too much. Was it the PM that mentioned the low birth rate? Definitely not around this area! Congrats to the new lil ones germinating in my darlings' tum tums. Shall blog again when i feel inspired. Scrutinising cheena lyrics now, trying my darnest to understand wat's all the mumbling about.
