Monday, February 13, 2006 E V E R Y T H I N G I N I T S T I M EWritten by Corrinne May Ying Foo & Carole Bayer Sager Copyright 2001 Corrmay Gourmet Music (ASCAP) / All About Me Music adm. by Warner Tamerlane Publishing Corp. (BMI) Sometimes I wonder what lies ahead How long till my hunger is fed They say it's hard to make it in this part of town So many people on this merry-go-round Some folks try astrology Some turn to crystal balls To find an answer, To get through it all I just fall on my knees and I try to pray In the silence I can hear Him say The river runs and the river hides Out to the ocean and under the sky I promise you, the answer will come Hold on to patience and watch for the sign Everything in its time I often feel like I'm two steps behind Somebody must have moved that finish line There are a thousand reasons Why I should give up But I'm stubborn in the things I believe The river runs and the river hides Out to the ocean and under the sky I promise you, the answer will come Hold on to patience and watch for the sign 'cause maybe there's another plan One I still can't see A little surprise, like your love in my life Funny how time changes how we see The river runs and the river hides Out to the ocean and under the sky I promise you, the answer will come Hold on to patience and watch for the sign Everything in its time Everything in its time
Sunday, February 12, 2006 A big change is taking place and I am seriously not sure if I can cope. Now, I can only trust the Lord that He'll be watching over my every step. Still, up to this point, I don't think I have any regrets in agreeing to help Elison. She was right that she didn't 'need' me...and on my side, I yearn to grow deeper in the Lord again.Being stretched is truly an understatement after I sorted out the supposed 'costs' on my way back on the bus. I'm moving on with fear and trembling. Words like 'second chances' and 'guard your heart' resonated after the conversation w eli. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Amazingly, as if it's a sign to me that He will give me rest, I miraculously woke up at 7.30am despite sleeping at 2plus am last night. Didn't feel I needed to sleep some more. Is this one of His extraordinary possibilities? Interesting.
Wednesday, February 01, 2006 Year of New BeginningsI resolved to do something new..so I hereby declare I have actually done it. My hair is now officially curled and totally unstraightened that sometimes I cringe when i see my shadow on the ground. A quest for a totally new look ended up with more than I bargained for. 1) There is no way I can dry my dumb curly locks in time for school; unlike the straight one where I could leave the house even with dripping wet hair. 2) Every night after washing comes a time where my fingers do the walking, or rather the curling. I swear that I am now the greatest bimbo in my block, possibly in the east region! 3) Application of hair cream/mousse/watever sticky substance has to be done EVERY SINGLE DAY. First you have to section your hair into 8 parts and then apply liberally. The curling action is next. Followed by more application. To all curly permed hair fellow mates, kudos to you! I wonder whether I can upkeep this nightly ritual before I pull the plug and iron my hair straight. Woman! Thy name is Vanity! On a straighter note, I bought a new plastic ball-like contraction for my hammies, Tofu & Tou Ge. It's really really entertaining watching Tofu rolling around the house in the crystal ball, exploring things. Amazingly he responses to my bro's clapping and will roll towards him. I thought their brains are merely pea-sized! You know when your life is really sad when you send spare time putting hammies into balls and watch them enthusiastically while they knock into furniture. It's rather therapeutic.
