FatigueThe dictionary gave its meaning as extreme tiredness. I don't know how it feels like any more. 'Tired' is simply another overused word to cover how one feels about life and matters in general.
Q: So how are you?
A: Tired.
Q: What have you been up to?
A: Nothing much, just tired.
Q: How are you feeling?
A: Tired.
Q: Why do you look unwell? Are you sick?
A: No, just tired.
Ability to cope with pressure and stress from work is one factor bosses look out for when identifying people for the job or assessing their potential. I wonder how 'tired' falls into their category. Is this person simply terribly sleep deprived or is he not able to handle the stress and pressure?
'Tired' can mean many things - sick of everything else, finds no meaning in things one does, wishes to sleep/back out of something/do nothing, signals don't bother him/her, 'i wish to go somewhere else', 'stop all this sh*t from happening'...
Interesting isn't it? Perhaps when you walk pass someone and you do your usual greeting, see if you can spot the word 'tired' in his answer.
