I Just Didn't Do ItDirected by Masayuki Suo
Just came back from my third and final movie for this year's S'pore Film Festival. Shook me how a state can have so much power against an individual. I especially like the last part where the protagonist said he should be the judge instead and pass judgement upon the people in the courtroom.
Movie reveals the sad state of Japanese who choose to plead not guilty to crimes they are accused of and the torture of going through the entire bureaucratic legal system - perhaps only to find that innocence does not guarantee you freedom.
